Headin Out

Tomorrow, Thursday April 28th,,We're heading down to Bartlett Lake, in central Az, for a few days of fishing,,
Will be out of touch till Sunday,, gotta Love it!!

Looking forward to some nice Flathead hunting,, and related activities,,
The baitfishing is always fun,, and rigging in the evening is always exciting with high hopes of hooking a Record!!

I have a few new Abu Reels out for a test run,, as well as some new rods.. so, I guess you could say this is a field testing trip..

The moon should be in good shape as well as some westerly-southwesterly winds.
and, the best part,, is it's WARM !!

If any major success's will definitely report with the results!!

Good Information ,, for our AZ Catfishing

Howdy,,
Have you been out fishing??

Tell us ,,,

What kind of tackle you used,, Rod, Reel, Line,, Hook, Bait,, etc...

Where you used it,,,, which Lake, Reservoir, River,,  Pond, canal,, etc!!

and,, of course,,,!!! Tell us what you used it on,,, We want to hear your stories..

Feels Like It's Time!!

It's been several months, since I've been out fishing. Lately, with the weather and water warming up, and hearing a few reports about fishing success, I think a lot of us are ready to go!! I know I am!
I feel I should be out right now,, but, I chose not to make a trip, as I'm busying myself building some of my Flathead Rods, for an upcoming tournament and Gathering the last weekend of April 2011,, at Bartlett lake here in AZ.

The season seems to be ON. and it will be soon that enjoying dark nights on the water will be enjoyed, as well as the hopeful anticipation of catching some nice Flatheads..

I Excited about this season,, And, I'm Ready

What's in a Reel...

What do you get for your Catfishing  $$ spent on Reels..

Do you know what you want, or, feed off others misinformation or, "it sure looked good" syndrome??

It's the same old story,, either end of the price range, is more than likely, not your best choice in tackle..

If you fall for the lastest new glittery assemblage of stuff,, you may not be happy for long..

If you buy the most expensive double clutchin' rotary artillery,, you still may not be well served..

There's an old adage, that ,, If something's not broken, don't be busying yourself fixing on it...

A good track record of dependable service, ability to handle the job, and availability of parts, is a good place to begin a search.

A few proven reels are Abu Garcia 6500, 7000 series ,, Penn 210, 209, and Omoto series reels,,
eBay is a good place to look as well.
